Pontus Hultén and Moderna Museet: The Formative Years

This, the thirteenth issue of Museological Review and the first as an online journal, considers the impact of Ideology, Power and the State on museums. The Editorial Committee hopes that readers will find this collection of papers engaging and inspiring. Museological Review Issue 17 is now available! Following the successful Museum Utopias conference in the School of Museum Studies in March 2012, Museological Review -our PhD student led journal- started an editorial process to publish contributions that were presented as part of it. In line with previous editions, Museological Review’s Issue 23 offers a selection of platforms: academic articles, a visual submission, exhibition reviews, interviews, and the work of an artist. Contributions have been arranged according to three sub-themes: politics, visions and communities. Museological Review is a peer-reviewed journal published annually by the community of PhD students of the School of Museum Studies at the University of Leicester, UK. It is a forum for the exchange of museological ideas and the development of academic skills.
